One of our best new features we have added recently has got to the the custom fields section. Why? Read on to find out.

We built Repair Pilot off the back of 10 years running a repair business, and in doing so, we know we have covered most of what our customers need for everyday use. However, we know that no two customers are the same. We have spoken to dozens and dozens of our customers who almost always want an extra field adding here or there. So, we thought we would oblige.

We have added a complete custom fields section to our settings page. From here, you can add custom fields of all varieties to the customer, job or part section. When you are adding a new custom field, you chose which section you would like to add it to, and the type of field you wish to add. You can choose from; text input, text area, checkbox or a dropdown field.

These will then show in the respective areas, as any other field, ready to use. These can also be shown on any printed invoices, check in receipts etc. This feature allows you to customise and extend Repair Pilot as far as you need it to go with the data you would like to store against customers, jobs and parts.
